I’m a Christian, a writer, and a coach/teacher at heart. I thoroughly enjoy combining these elements in my writing—whether in my business books, my novels, short stories, or blogs.
In addition to my writing career I have been in business and information technology for nearly 40 years.
I have been an independent consultant for the last fifteen years of my career. During this time I have been an interim CIO (Chief Information Officer), strategic consultant, trusted advisor to C-level executives, and leadership development coach.
I currently own and run an executive search firm (Gnu Talent), serving clients primarily in WA and Oregon.
Clients engage us to help them hire transformational technology leaders – CIO, CTO, Director of IT, Director of Engineering, as well as COO, GM, and presidents of technology firms.

I have written and self-published three books. The first two were business books (one more than I ever planned to write)—Haunting the CEO and Unselling.
I wrote and published my first novel, Let Go the Reins, in 2019.

Spiritual
I did not grow up in the church; I grew up in the world. You may not know this, but growing up in the world has consequences. I have lived those consequences. You’ll read about them occasionally in my blogs. I’m fairly open and vulnerable, so feel free to learn from my mistakes.
I gave my life to Christ in December 1981 at the age of 19, almost immediately after I heard the message for the first time. (My college buddy, David, invited me to a young adult event, then to his church. Thank you, David.)
Little did I know that I had a lot of growing up to do. It’s been nearly 40 years, and I’m still growing up. And still pursuing God and His Son with all of my heart and being. I have never regretted that decision and can honestly say that I’ve grown closer to Christ and His Father every single day since.
If I Got Kicked In The Head By A Mule?

I love listening to music. I write lyrics+ (for myself), though I can’t sing (trust me) or play a musical instrument (doubly trust me).
So, if I ever got kicked in the head by a mule I’d like to wake up as a singer-songwriter, preferably with a smooth, yet gravelly voice. Think Kris Kristofferson, John Prine, Merle Haggard, Tom T. Hall, or Charlie Pride.
Our neighbors have a mule, so there’s hope for me yet!

When I write about emotions and emotional healing it’s based on my experiences and what I learned through those experiences. I’m pretty sure there are professionals who would disagree with some of what I say, but they can’t disagree with what I’ve experienced and learned.
God gave me an innate combination of being highly analytical, a continual learner, and having the heart of a teacher/coach in order to help others. But my help is only to create awareness that you can be healed and whole, experience more meaningful relationships, and live a more joy-filled life. It’s only the beginning of a healing journey that needs to include professional Christian counseling.
